Quotes: The Snow Child.

“She looked directly up into the northern lights and she wondered if those cold-burning spectres might not draw her breath, her very soul, out of her chest and into the stars.”

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey is full of unequivocally stunning prose and it's such a treat. It's been a little while since I read it, but it has really stayed with me and I think that's an indication of a wonderful novel. This quote especially took my breath away. I felt like I was there too, looking up into the northern lights, and how overwhelming being surrounded by such beauty and wonder would feel.
P.S. Happy October! It has been far too long since my last post, thank you for sticking with me! I think I'm all back on track now, this new month has brought my inspiration back and I'm so thrilled!
