The Harry Potter Tag!

Any excuse for having a little chat about the Harry Potter series sounds excellent to me, so here I am! I don't think I've been tagged by anyone, but I couldn't resist...
1. Which book is your favourite?
There are a couple from the series that stand out as being extra special, but the one I have the happiest memories attached to is The Prisoner of Azkaban.

2. Which film is your favourite?
I'll happily watch them all - I love when they show one each week on the TV when it starts getting close to Christmas, I hope they do it again this year! I'm going to go with The Prisoner of Azkaban again though because it's my favourite book and I love the story so much! Also... Sirius and Lupin!
3. Which book is your least favourite?
The Chamber of Secrets. Although I still love it and Lockhart is hilarious, it's not quite up there with the rest of the series and I can't even really explain why. Maybe it's because it's sandwiched between the world building of the first book and things starting to get really exciting in the third book?

4. Which film is your least favourite?
Again, The Chamber of Secrets but I still love watching it!

5. Which part of the books or films made you cry?
Sirius! Hedwig! Dobby! Snape! Every time in the films there's a scene with Lily Potter in it, especially when she says 'Harry, you're so loved' in the Deathly Hallows. 'After all this time? Always'. So so many parts made me cry!

6. If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?
I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Ron. Although Sirius Black and Remus Lupin were both very enigmatic too!
7. Who is your favourite character?
Both Hermione and Luna, in their own ways, consistently reminded me that it's always okay to be one hundred percent yourself all the time.

8. Who is your least favourite character?
I don't think I have one! I guess Rita Skeeter isn't very likeable, but then again she is ridiculously hilarious without meaning to be.

9. What is your favourite line?
It changes all the time because there's always an appropriate line for every situation! At the moment it's...

'You think the dead we loved truly ever leave us? You think that we don't recall them more clearly in times of great trouble?'

Thank you J.K Rowling for always finding the most comforting words!

10. What would your patronus be?
A rabbit for sure!

11. If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or Elder Wand, which would you choose?
The Invisibility Cloak without a doubt - think of all the things you could do with that!
12. Which house would you be in?
I always thought I would be in Ravenclaw but I was sorted into Gryffindor on Pottermore so maybe I'm a lot braver than I think I am!

13. If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?
I always imagine that Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter would be fascinating to meet - I bet they have some incredible stories to tell!

14. If you were on the Quidditch team, which position would you play?
Being a Beater could be quite fun! I think it would definitely be the best way to release some inner tension after an argument or a bad exam result or something.

15. Were you happy with the ending?
Yes, it seemed like a fitting end to a truly magical series!

16. How much does Harry Potter mean to you?
The series was such a huge part of my childhood and I felt like I grew up alongside the characters as I was eagerly anticipating the release of the next book, desperate to see what was going to happen. Hogwarts is still the place I retreat to if I'm having a bad time because of all the good memories, you know? I'm not sure it gets much more special than that.

Are you a Harry Potter fan?

Jennie
xoxo

  4. Prizoner of Azkaban seems to be a favourite of a lot of people. It's definitely my favourite book, but I don't like the film as much because I think they missed out on some quite important bits in the film that if you hadnt read the book wouldnt make any sense.

I think my least favourite book is probably the order of the phoenix. it was just a bit too long!

  6. The Chamber of Secrets is definitely my least favourite too, and like you I can't really think why. I guess it just seems kind of pointless compared to the rest of the series because nothing really relevant happens, it's almost like a separate entity apart from the fact that Tom's diary turned out to be a horcrux! x

  7. So much fun to read! I love the Harry Potter series. I travel a lot, and I always take at least one copy with me, for moments when I long for a home or some comfort. It still hits me everytime I read the books: it's one thing to write an awesome story, but the way Rowling wrote HP, with millions of fans truly deeply loving every moment, every character, is something else. Hogwarts always felt like a warm bath, like coming home. I don't know how she managed to do it, but to me, it's magic at its purest form.
